The Greensboro Sit- In was a civil rights protest that started in 1960. It was a non violent protest.
How did it begin?There were four african american boys that went to the lunch counter to be served. The Woolworth store had a policy that stated they only served whites. They four african americans refused to give their seats up. |

How long did the protest last?The Sit- In began on February 1st 1960 with only four students but then soon led to over 300 people joining. The end date was July 25th 1960. |
